Volvo Ocean Race Experience voor Volvo.

Van 19 september t/m 30 september kun je ons zien vertrekken en aankomen in de haven van Breskens. Negen dagen intensief zeilen voor en met relaties van Volvo. Ervaringen en lessen uit eerste hand van Hans Bouscholte.

De Volvo Ocean Race Experience is voor deelnemers extra leuk omdat het niet blijft bij meezeilen. Het is handen uit de mouwen en ervoor zorgen dat je met z’n allen het optimale uit de V60 haalt. Zelf aan de grinders, lijnen en het roer. Om het nog echter te maken gaan de twee schepen een matchrace aan.  O ja en slapen doen we gewoon aan boord.

erVAAR Sail Amsterdam 2010

Iedere vijf jaar staat de Amsterdamse IJhaven in het teken van Zeilen, Zeilen en zeilen. Dit jaar is het weer zover, van 19 tot en met 23 augustus vindt de 8ste editie van Sail Amsterdam plaats en zal de haven zich vullen met een scala aan boten, bootjes, pieremachochels en ander varend tuig.

Vijf jaar geleden trok Sail Amsterdam 1,8 miljoen ! bezoekers. Kortom  “the place to be” van 19 t/m 23 augustus.

Dit is hét moment in 2010 om je klanten / relaties / collega’s / vrienden te mobiliseren om gezamenlijk van een unieke experience en evenement te genieten. Dat bracht ons op het volgende idee. Niet alleen langs zeilboten varen maar zélf zeilen.

Combineer een dagje Sail Amsterdam met écht zeilen op de Noordzee op een Volvo 60. Dus ‘s-ochtends vroeg aankomen in IJmuiden, je auto parkeren, ontvangen worden op de jachtclub en dan: De Volvo Ocean Race Experience. IJmuiden het zeegat uit, zelf de zeilen hijsen en voelen hoe het schip snelheid maakt. Hans Bouscholte dompelt je onder in de Volvo Ocean Race, en geeft een Masterclass.

Na enige uren zeilen kunnen we of met de Volvo 60 door de sluizen naar Amsterdam. Of bij terugkomst in IJmuiden overstappen op ribs en naar Amsterdam  ”scheuren” om daar van Sail te genieten. Na afloop zetten we je weer netjes bij je auto af.

Participate in the largest Transocean sailing event in the world !

Well in time, for all of you, to block your calendar and experience sailing a V60.

As you remember we had to postpone the 2009 entry. But, as promised last year we would warn you if we started planning a 2010 participation.

Well here it is.

Thé chance of 2010 to participate in the ARC Transatlantic Race/Rally 2010. The largest transocean sailing event in the world. The ARC brings together over 200 yachts from all over the World. And you can be participating on a Volvo Ocean Racer (V60).

Hans Bouscholte will be giving a Masterclass on how to race a Volvo Ocean Racer.

There is room for 8 sailors. Make sure you (and your friends, colleagues) are on it.

The V60 Pleomax will* participate in the 2010 ARC Transatlantic Race/Rally, racing from Gran Canaria to St. Lucia. 

As you know, it’s a hands-on trip, not a cruise. Experience what it is like to sail a Volvo Ocean Racer.

The ARC departs (November 21, 2010) from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and crosses to Rodney Bay, St. Lucia. Arriving in St. Lucia approximately 2-3 weeks later. Included are board and stay, meals: freeze dried (the real stuff) and desalted water. Excluded are the trip to Gran Canaria and trip from st. Lucia back home.

Team Delta Lloyd verbreekt Noordzeerecord

 

2 december 2009 verbrak Team Delta Lloyd het Noorzeerecord door ruim 23 minuten sneller dan de vorige recordhouder Pleomax (V60 in 5 uur, 59 minuten, 30 seconden) over de eindstreep in IJmuiden te varen.

Team Delta Lloyd wist de 105 zeemijl tussen Lowestoft en IJmuiden af te leggen in een nieuwe recordtijd van 5 uur, 36 minuten en 18 seconden.

Schipper Bouwe Bekking wist te melden dat het zelfs nog harder had gekund als de wind iets meer van achteren had gestaan. Zijn estimate; dan had er nog wel een half uurtje af gekund.

Volvo Ocean Race Experience feliciteert van harte Team Delta Lloyd met dit nieuwe record !

Het wachten is nu op de volgende die de uitdaging aan zal gaan om het record te verbreken.

Team Delta Lloyd doet aanval op Noordzee record

De recordpoging is vanochtend 2 december 2009 om 8:45 uur gestart en is live te volgen: http://spectator.mylaps.com/46867_Delta_Lloyd_Record_Attempt

Het huidige record staat op naam van de Volvo 60 Pleomax (maart 2008) en die deed er met schipper/eigenaar Harm Prins 5 uur, 59 minuten en 30 seconden over. Zij verbraken op hun beurt het record dat stond op naam van Hans Bouscholte die er 6 uur 22 over deed met de Brunel Synergy (mei 2007) . Om het huidige record te verbeteren zal Team Delta Lloyd over de afstand van 105 zeemijl een gemiddelde snelheid van meer dan 17.3 knopen moeten halen. Dit betekent dat ze vandaag vóór 14:44 in IJmuiden aan moeten komen.

Opportunity of a Lifetime. Sail a Volvo 60

Dear Sailing enthusiasts,

Thank you all for the overwhelming requests and replies with regards to participating in the ARC Transatlantic Rally 2009. We regret however that we had to come to the decision that we have to postpone our entrance to the race.  The motivation behind this decision is that Hans Bouscholte has accepted the role of technical director for the Dutch Olympic Sailing teams participating in the 2012 Olympics. Which will now take most of his time.

We hope you understand that we made this decision. We will take the liberty to contact you as soon as we know more of a possible participation in the 2010 ARC Transatlantic rally. Do keep checking our website for other interesting opportunities which we have coming.

Postponing is only for the ARC Transatlantic Rally. We will be sailing the V60 throughout the year on other occasions.
